Situational Management

Different types of problems can occur in event management and you must have the flexibility to adjust to the different circumstances that confront you. You must be able to manage the changing circumstances especially since a lot of these problems will have to be solved through the efforts of others.

Manage the situation and do not let the situation control you and force you into reactive event planning that can be the hallmark of those who fail to plan and organize effectively. To be in control of the situation means trying to anticipate all that needs to be planned for and organized and ensuring that these activities take place. Doing this should to some extent minimize any potential problems. When the unexpected occurs, it means being flexible, and being good at developing workable options for handling situations as they occur.
