To promote and advance the practice of restorative justice the council identified ‘Champions’ from across a number of sectors including the criminal justice system, education and social care. The work of the champions was celebrated at an event held at the QEII Centre in Westminster where a series of case study presentations was blended with a Q&A panel session and concluding celebratory drinks reception.
The Restorative Service Quality Mark (RSQM) gives the public that confidence. Holding the RSQM is a celebration of the hard work undertaken by organisations offering a restorative service and is the best way of showcasing safe, high quality practice. A one day conference was hosted at Birmingham Town Hall for organisations looking to have their restorative practices officially accredited.
