Conference and event management agency Blackberry Productions was recently appointed by the Manufacturing Technology Centre in Coventry to support the delivery of their Working Together: Transforming Construction showcase event.
The event was hosted at the Manufacturing Technology Centre’s state-of-the-art facility where over 100 key stakeholders in the UK construction and infrastructure sector from industry, government, academia and research, came together to get an insight into the future of construction and infrastructure in the UK.
The event comprised speaker presentations in the morning along with an exhibition and a technology showcase in the afternoon, which saw live robots and virtual reality demonstrations in action. The centrepiece of the event technical support from Blackberry Productions was the use of a 3-channel wireless headset system that enabled the four construction technology demonstration zones to run in parallel with groups of invited guests being guided around the zones by an MTC host.
Channel 4’s Restoration Man George Clarke joined the event to show his support for the movement to introduce new technologies and approaches to the construction sector.
MTC’s Marketing Coordinator Sarah Gilmour said “It was a pleasure working with Blackberry on this event. The team were highly professional from start to finish, and the 3-channel headset system ensured that the live technology demonstrations worked without a hitch and were a real highlight of the day.”
Director of Blackberry Productions Steve Elliott added “We are delighted to have been given this opportunity, it was a great event to be involved in partly for the technical and logistical challenges but also to see new technologies being presented in a live environment”
