Steve is the co-founder and co-director of the company. He took a giant leap 25 years ago from a career in business and finance to dive into the world of events.
Steve’s leaping and diving into events was as a result of designing and delivering a programme of workshops to help staff understand the implications and expectation of working in a industry that was moving from being a nationalised government owned organisation to a privatised FTSE 100 business. Seeing first hand how the power of events influenced behaviours through challenging perceptions and enhancing understanding was the hook that keeps Steve fascinated by the event industry’s ability to affect real change.
With over 25 years in the live events industry Steve has a depth of experience on which to draw. He loves to get under the skin of an event to understand the key aims and objectives, the audience and how success will be measured. Sometimes referred to as the client’s ‘critical friend’ Steve asks questions that seek to ensure we are all clear on what needs to be delivered by the event and how we will determine the event return on investment.
I fundamentally believe that any event has the ability to change thoughts, opinions and behaviours. I’d go further and say that all events should be designed to achieve these outcomes. I love getting under the skin of the purpose of an event and helping clients to get the very most from their investment and hard work.
Seeing a client team relaxed, smiling and enjoying their event, in the belief that they are in safe hands. More recently, there-emergence of live events after the pandemic: the realisation that we’d made it through the worst and our industry would survive.
My home, my family, spending time outdoors and travelling (if someone else organises it). And if you ask me in 12 month’s time I might say open water swimming, might!
